Flatland Precision provides cleaning, repair, and performance verification services for Interapid dial test indicators. Whether your indicator has become sluggish, no longer operates properly in both directions, has suffered a crash, or simply needs routine service, we can evaluate its condition and determine the appropriate repair.
Our standard service includes:
Complete disassembly of the indicator
Cleaning of the movement and components
Inspection for worn, damaged, or broken components
Reassembly and adjustment
Functional testing in both directions
Repeatability and performance verification
Standard service starts at $75 per indicator.
Indicators requiring replacement parts or extensive repairs may incur additional charges. If significant additional work or parts are required, we will contact you before proceeding.
Dropped or crashed indicators can often be repaired, but the extent of the damage cannot always be determined until the indicator is disassembled and inspected.
We will evaluate the movement for bent, broken, displaced, or excessively worn components and determine whether the indicator can be economically repaired.
Replacement parts for some Interapid models can be difficult or impossible to obtain. If an indicator cannot be repaired because the necessary components are unavailable, we will let you know before proceeding further.
Cracked, scratched, or missing crystals and worn or damaged contact points can be replaced when compatible parts are available.
These items are priced separately from standard service based on the parts required.
Every serviced indicator receives a post-service functional inspection and performance verification. Results can be documented on an individual inspection and service record showing the condition of the indicator before service, work performed, and its performance after service.
Flatland Precision currently provides performance verification, not accredited calibration. Unless specifically stated otherwise, services do not include an accredited or NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
If you would like an estimate before additional repairs are performed, indicate that when submitting your indicator.
After inspection, we will contact you if the indicator requires replacement parts, extensive repairs, or other work beyond the standard service. No significant additional charges will be incurred without your approval.
Customers are responsible for shipping indicators to Flatland Precision.
Once service is complete, indicators will be securely packaged and returned using a tracked shipping service. Return shipping charges are added to the final invoice at actual cost.
For larger orders or multiple indicators shipped together, alternative shipping arrangements may be available.
